Academic work in our rural and urban poor schools can only be guaranteed when schools have adequate teaching and learning materials. In a significant number of rural and urban poor communities that we have identified, we have observed with shock that teachers do not have text books and other teaching materials.
In schools that need chalk, teachers have begged us to support them with chalk as they are either not given on time or are not supplied at all. The children also do not have reading and learning materials. With conditions like these it will be a miracle for children to pass their exams.
We keep visiting these deprived schools and one at a time , we are intervening with school supplies..
